Achmad Nawir (1911 – April 1995) was a Dutch East Indian doctor and footballer. Nawir played for a local club HBS Soerabaja (now extinct) and also the Dutch East Indian national football team.

He is the captain for Dutch East Indian national team in FIFA World Cup 1938 France. Despite played for 2 matches for Dutch East India before Indonesia got its independence, he is the major inspiration for Indonesian modern football.

One of the South Korean players wore glasses in the 1954 World Cup.

And Leopold Kielholz, who scored for Switzerland in the 1934 World Cup finals, also wore glasses.
