Every time you see an object, it's actually a light that is reflected by objects into your eyes. And light takes time to travel.
More further your eyes to the objects, then more the light takes time to travel. But because the light travels very fast, it's almost unnoticeable.
Except between the stars and your eyes on the Planet Earth that are far away. Although it's very fast, the light takes years to travel from the Earth to the stars because of great distance between those objects.
