Do you want your number to be recognized by your own BlackBerry? It's easy, follow this method.
Press accept call (green phone logo) on your BlackBerry buttons, go to 'Options' and enter to 'General Options'. Set to "Yes" where it says "My Number". Then save and exit. If your BlackBerry detects only "XXX-XXX-XXXX" instead of your number, follow the tutorial above here.
From your menu, go to Options, and find 'Advanced Options'. Scroll to 'SIM Card' and enter to 'Edit SIM Phone Number'. You need to enter your phone number manually. Also from there, you may change the phone line name, defaultly, it named 'Line1'.
